Tim is responsible for the delivery of research, development and demonstration projects. This involves resource planning, progress monitoring and the day to day running of all the Centre’s activities in this business area. Duties include the planning of on-site trials, designing experiments, data collection & analysis and the preparation & presentation of reports. Clients include the Horticultural Development Council, the Milk Development Council, equipment manufacturers and several of the utility companies.

Key Skills
Broad commercial and technical expertise with efficient application and utilisation of energy in agricultural and horticultural businesses. Extensive practical working experience within agriculture. Gives an in-depth knowledge of the factors influencing energy use and the limitations affecting the application of energy saving techniques. Regular use of a wide range of energy and environmental monitoring equipment and associated data analysis. Including electricity/gas consumption, building temperature/humidity, equipment switching times. Daily contacts with clients through energy efficiency helplines and one-on-one consultancy.
