Case history – Hedon Salads harmonics
When faced with electrical problems on a 7MW high pressure sodium lighting installation, East Yorkshire growers Hedon Salads asked FEC to investigate. FEC engineers used power quality measurement equipment and diagnosed an unusual electrical ‘series resonance’ problem which was generating high electrical currents. Resonance attenuating transformers sourced from Canada were used to solve the problem. |
