Andrew Kneeshaw, our MD, addressed an audience from the Poultry Association of Northern Ireland to deliver training on energy efficiency for meat bird production.
He covered a wide range of subjects, from insulation and air leakage to ventilation and lighting efficiency, showing how and where energy can be saved.
David Trimble and Martin Moore from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) energy team, who are based at the College of Agriculture, Farming and Rural Enterprise, also gave a presentation which focused on renewable energy, covering solar, wind, biomass and anaerobic digestion.
